GH Frith Ltd, the UK’s largest importer of rugs and carpets is changing its trading name to Frith Rugs. This family owned business which was established in 1981 has three retail outlets, in the North West, customers are served by a huge retail outlet in Bodelwyddan, North Wales as well as a major on-line presence.
Director Andrew Frith said: “The new trading name and accompanying logo provides us with more marketing flexibility and brings us bang up to date without losing the Frith name which is synonymous with quality rugs and carpets.
“We have launched a new website to continue to maximize our on-line presence. A significant proportion of our sales come via the Internet and the new site will provide a much bigger ‘shop window’ to display the thousands or rugs we have on offer - as well as include more interactive functions for the customer.”
Users of the new site will be able to drag rugs they like into one of twenty 3D room sets to see how the rug they like would sit in a particular setting. In addition, rugs will appear on the screen as though hung on a ‘retail rug rack’ which will allow the user to flick through the rugs faster.
Despite the harsh economic climate business for Frith Rugs remains buoyant which Andrew says is in part due to the popularity of wood, laminate and slate flooring as well as the company’s commitment to ethical buying principles.
The company has helped establish and support a girl’s school in North East India and Andrew Frith said: “Frith Rugs has major buying power and we regularly visit manufacturing and weaving areas in India and Asia to ensure they conform to our strict ethical policies. Rug provenance is becoming more and more important to our customers.”
Frith Rugs provide the widest selection of imported rugs and carpets in the UK and also offers a bespoke rug service for individuals or organisations who want to design a personal rug. For more information about Frith Rugs go to www.frithrugs.co.uk or telephone 0845 4 900 600.
