If you are unemployed, passionate about the environment and live in Accrington, contact your local Job Centre to find out about a six month training opportunity that is being offered by Hyndburn Homes Repairs.
Ross Hemmings, from the company said: “We are looking for a trainee who will undertake environmental improvement work and painting in the local area. As well as gaining valuable employment experience and new skills the applicant will also be engaging with the local community and making small changes that will make a big difference.”
The scheme is part of the Future Jobs Fund managed by the Department for Works and Pensions which is designed to ensure 18 – 24 year olds gain a job placement.
To qualify for the position, applicants will need to have been unemployed for six months or more and have a desire to work outdoors on active projects.
Closing date for candidates to apply for this position is 31st January 2011. Applications should be made via the local job centre, who will arrange a time for an interview. Interviews are being held on the 9th February 2011.
