National disability charity, Action For Kids was thrilled to receive £6,000 thanks to the support of Funding Consultancy and Activity Delivery Specialists, The Fundsport Group today.
Action For Kids – The Fundsport Group’s nominated charity for 2010 - which helps to support children and young people with physical and learning disabilities and their parents and carers, received the cheque from Mark Craddock, Fundsport’s Managing Director after he visited the organisation and met with students and staff.
Over the last twelve months, staff from across The Fundsport Group have worked hard to raise money for Action For Kids, with Mark Craddock successfully competing in a variety of marathons including Brighton and Dublin whilst his colleague, Luke Smith took part in the Great East Swim.
Mark Craddock said: “Working with Action For Kids over the last year has been a great honour. I’ve had the pleasure of going to their head office in London and seeing the direct impact their work has on children with disabilities and their parents.
“Our donation is only small in real terms, but hopefully it will make a positive impact to the children.”
The Fundsport Group has been so pleased with the impact of their sponsorship that the company has decided to continue sponsorship for 2011, with the planned highlight being Mark Craddock and Luke Smith taking part in the prestigious London to Paris bike ride in June.
Lyn Prodger, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Action For Kids, said. “We are so grateful to Mark and everyone at The Fundsport Group for all the time and effort that they have put into raising so much money over the past year and are really looking forward to working together in 2011.
“The funds will make such a difference to our work - helping provide more independence, opportunities and support to disabled children and young people all around the UK.”
