With some people unable to get to the beach this summer, one charity we work with has had the great idea of bringing the beach to the city!
Action For Kids is hosting a week of sports activities at Broadgate Arena in London for one week only - from the 8 - 12 June - culminating in a beach volleyball tournament to raise money for children and in young people with physical and learning disabilities.
Several amateur teams from around Greater London have signed up to the tournament including City of London Police, Addleshaw Goddard and the Intercontinental Hotels Group. They're all taking it pretty seriously too with members booked in to practise next week so that they're literally 'on the ball' on the big day.
There will also be some wheelchair basketball games taking place and fitness sessions with Virgin Active so there'll be something for everyone!
So if you live or work near Broadgate then you're very welcome to come along and cheer players on next week and visit our little beach. You never know, we might even get some sunshine!
