Hi, I am Sarah Dawson, the 'not so new' recruit to join the Ethos public relations team.
I am now nearing the end of my first month, having thoroughly enjoyed settling into my new role as Account Executive working on a range of clients, including, Contour Housing Group, Hyndburn Homes, Laserase and Econoloft. The month has gone by so quickly, mostly because I am enjoying the work, the people I work with, and the culture that attracts so many people to public relations.
On my first day I found the 10 minute walk to work made a nice change from the usual one hour commute I had to endure in previous roles - living and working in town has its advantages! On my arrival we all got stuck into a game of musical chairs and desk moving in order to accommodate me, this broke the ice nicely!
It?s great to be back in a PR agency environment, after having worked in-house in marketing for the past year at a Cheshire-based media company. Prior to this I also worked with a wide variety of clients at a business to business PR agency, before taking time out to go travelling across Europe to bask in the sun, take in the historical sites and perfect my skiing technique in colder climates!!
I feel both very excited and very fortunate to find myself in this position. Look out for me in future blogs, Sarah!
